Art House - Studio Delmar - Interior Design Project

Studio Delmar's recently completed interior design project features over multiple pages in this month's Vogue Living.

Working alongside our passionate, design savvy clients, a young family with a love for contemporary art, we created a theatrical wonderland, each room a source of visual elegance and entertainment.

Utilising the Woollahra homes heritage features we highlighted and embellished traditional references through detailed wall panelling, soft tonal grey’s, carefully curated joinery and murals of wallpaper that encompass the room. These features create a backdrop, embracing the client’s love of European architecture, as well as creating calmness and unity to the bold art, bright pops of colour and modern furniture and décor layered throughout.

Intricate details such as visual repetition, shapes and textures form a timeless refined home that is functional yet whimsical.

ART AND INTERIORS IN ART EDIT MAGAZINE

MAGAZINE ARTICLEClaire Delmar

Art has always been a passion of mine and the right piece can change or complete a space. The use of art in a room expresses feeling, stirs emotions and adds texture and shape.  In particular I love strong portraiture, still life and ceramic sculptures which have become my signature when styling.

The Mosman Residence represents modern Palm Springs and contemporary Sydney through its design which allowed for modern yet organic shaped ceramics, touches of brass, oak timber and colour to reflect the bold designs.
